Dr. Courtney Kruggel

Dr. Courtney Kruggel graduated summa cum laude from Marquette University’s Doctorate of Physical Therapy program in 2020. She also received her Bachelor’s in Exercise Physiology from Marquette in 2018. She not only is a board-certified physical therapist in Wisconsin, but has been a National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Personal Trainer since 2016. Dr. Courtney enjoys utilizing her knowledge from both certifications to help progress patients functionally, improving their movement patterns that they utilize throughout their daily life.

She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and Wisconsin Physical Therapy Association. Throughout schooling and continuing into her practicing years, she is a supporter of the Foundation for Physical Therapy Research to promote evidence-based care and the growth of the physical therapy profession. In addition to staying on top of research and utilizing clinical practice guidelines for exercise rehabilitation, Dr. Courtney uses hands-on manual techniques to promote mobility of segments, provide neuromuscular feedback, and relieve tension within muscles through myofascial release. She believes that utilizing a combination of manual therapy and exercise will accelerate the healing process for patients and allow them to return to what they love to do throughout their life.

In her free time, Dr. Courtney volunteers for Rise Over Run, a non-profit that makes healthy living accessible through an online platform with access to a variety of strength and running programs, nutrition guidance and recipes, and more. She believes that health is unique to each individual and is not solely fitness and nutrition, but mental and social happiness as well. She hopes to instill this belief in all the patients she treats and give them the confidence to implement it independently. She loves to try new recipes, adventure outdoors, and read (almost) any genre of books.
